Lie to Me, Sarah

On my way back from leek harvesting this afternoon, I heard a report on the McCain-Palin stump speech of today.  The savory morsel they broadcast?  The, Palin-as-foe-of-wasteful-government-spending, “Thanks but no thanks for that Bridge to Nowhere.”

OK, now I know they don’t want to make her memorize a whole new shtick when her mind’s on getting back up to Alaska for a few days, but dontcha think they oughta leave out the stuff that’s comepletely, verifiably false?

Even more amazing is that the crowd went wild for it.  Are they that uninformed, or is it that they recognize the amazing super power behind those rimless glasses–the one that allows her to make false things true simply by repeating them?

YES! Right on with this one. My mouth was gaping when I heard the crap coming out of her mouth, and the rest of the lying liars.

Nice blog, by the way…makes me really miss the Upper MIdwest, and the fact that I am delaying my homecoming dreams….

I think there is more than that story wrong in her speeches. Example the jet being sold at profit, Then there is the excess money her family spends because they don’t want to live in Juneau.

What confounds me is that when the McCain/Palin camp is called on their total fabrications, they respond that their critics are the liars. Or that they’re being “mean” and attacking them personally.

Since when is it mean to point out obvious fabrications and untruths? Since no one knows what constitutes a personal attack, I guess. Guess I will emphasize teaching the logical fallacies all the more this semester.
