Images of the Day

“Ragged Jack” or Red Russian kale volunteer in my home gardens, surrounded by perennial vinca flowers peeking from behind the purple-veined kale leaves.

White daffodil of unknown origin.  I’m going to guess it’s one of the many bulbs I unearthed when helping to remove Marj Robertson’s legendary gardens on the corner of National and Prospect streets after she passed away.  It almost has the look of a double gardenia, don’t you think?

There are a couple of them. I don’t remember ever seeing them bloom before, though the foliage has come up in that location.
